Kinsmen Club still spending amidst COVID-19
During a regular club meeting, although not conducted so regular given the events of Social distancing, the Kinsmen Club of Yorkton met on Monday, April 6th. In doing so, they continued to Serve the Community's Greatest Need by making donations to both the Christ the Teacher School Division and Good Spirit School Division for scholarships. Although the school year ended abruptly, and in a twist of events, the Kinsmen felt the need to ensure the continuation of helping to fund graduating students in their next level of higher learning. President Barry Novak stated, "It is just as important now to ensure we continue to help to educate the youth and help them prepare for post secondary education. With the economy in an uncertain time, any funding to help will allow for an opportunity for students to attend that may be otherwise a further financial burden."
Kinsmen met through the online platform of zoom and have their next regualr meeting scheduled for April 20th.
